Noteworthy historical features shown on the map include various old quarries and Waughton Castle. The map is printed on thick parchment type paper and measures approximately 46cm x 30cm, with titles, notes, legends and scale bars on the wide margins. The whole sheet measures approximately 52cm x 39cm. The map is generally in good condition, although it has a tear across the top left corner which has been repaired (see photos).
