Description: 1895 Please visit my listings of books on Antique Books or Japan Books are organized by categories, kind of easy (more or less) for you to figure out a title you might want or, maybe, see a title you never heard of before item : book Title, original : Korin Gafu [Ogata Korin was born in 1658 and died in 1716 ] Year this book was printed 1895 (last page has Meiji character, which means the year of 1868 to which was added "28" , so 1868 +28=1895 (yes 1895 not 1896---don't ask ME why) --title, translation, sort of /kind of : Korin Stencils [?] paperback, binding Chinese / Japanese style accordeon author / artist : Ogata Korin. Again he was born in 1658 and died in 1716 language: Japanese Please note the Japanese writing on the cover ; compare to the Japanese of the sticker attached to the first volume publisher : Kyoto , Yamada Shizaburo ISBN:--- book size about 10" x 7" pages: 52 in each volume, so totaly 104 pages --6 pages of text --25 illustrations, almost all on double page --every illustration has a hint of color (My guess--hand colored?) Superb pictures book weight about 7 oz both volumes condition -- Condition for its age is very good. -- Condition, in general, is good to very good; --cover has chips, dings, discolorations --pages show a bit of foxxing (yellowing) .
