Description: Thanks for checking out this listing! The vital statistics: one 1897-A Dominican Republic 20 centavos silver coin, KM# 14, silver (0.3500), 5 g (0.176 oz.), actual silver weight 0.0563 troy oz., 22 mm (0.87 in.) diameter. The coin has the A mintmark because the dies were prepared in the Paris Mint, but the coins were actually struck in the Philadelphia Mint. See Foreign Coins Struck at United States Mints by Charles G. Altz and E. H. Barton (1965), page 22. This also applies to the other 1897 A coins of the Dominican Republic. (From the Numista website.) This coin is in very fine condition. Details of the coin's designs are clear and distinct. All letters and numerals are legible. Gentle wear can be seen on the coin's highest surfaces. The two pairs of images were taken in the same location and under nearly identical lighting. The only difference is the background. The item in the photo is the one you would receive upon purchase. This is a raw coin, offered for sale as is. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase when you receive it, I'll be happy to accept it back and to refund your purchase price.
