Gift inscription on endpaper of Looking Glass (Jean M. Helsil, from Auntie, 1902). Full color frontispieces opposite title pages in both books. Title pages in red and green ink. Toning, age-staining, tea-staining, and finger-staining throughout both textblocks. Endpaper opposite concluding page of Wonderland shows children's names written in cursive, most likely by the children themselves (Nellie Jones, Joanne Jones, Mamie Jones, Magie Cross, Annie Cross, Albert Cross, Annie Smith, Charlie Smith, Herbert Sheldon, Lizzie Marston, Charlie Marston).
