1899 Cover w/RARE BC2b Buffalo 1901 Pan American Exposition Cinderella! Am Expo

Description: PLEASE NOTE: Payment by PAYPAL is due within FOUR (4) days after this eBay listing ends. eBay will AUTOMATICALLY CANCEL TRANSACTION on Day 5. Here is a terrific lot from a nice Pan American Exposition collection that I have on eBay right now! This is a rare W.E. Anderson of Buffalo, New York cover with a fantastic blue and white BC2b cinderella stamp next to the standard 2cent Washington postage. The cover was sent from Buffalo to Windom, Pennsylvania on June 6, 1899, about 22 months BEFORE the Pan American Exposition opened! As you can see, the BC2b "charging buffalo" cinderella is BEAUTIFULLY tieed to it, which makes it wonderfully collectible. It has a June 8, 1899 receiving cancel / date stamp on the reverse. By the way, the stamp identifying number (BCx) used in this description is from the high quality book called Buffalo Cinderellas. This terrific publication, which won an American Philatelic Society gold medal award, contains the fascinating stories of the two men who are most associated with the awesome souvenir stamps issued for the 1901 Pan American Exposition. If you are a fan or collector of the Pan American Exposition, you will certainly enjoy the fantastic award wining book!A marvelous deluxe publication, Buffalo Cinderellas is an unparalleled, extremely detailed, fully illustrated hardcover with over 400 images, over half of which are in vivid color! The book is an invaluable asset to those who collect these treasures, and you can find it in my eBay Store right now; there are a few Standard Classic Edition books still available at this time! Background: The electrifying 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York offered a spirited message of hope and possibility. Over eight million people flocked to the spectacular Pan Am, and there were substantial opportunities for businessmen to profit. Two very different people did so by creating souvenir cinderella stamps for the event. One was a reputable man who sold over four million Expo stamps and became a respected philatelic expert; the other was a traveling charlatan who later drifted into the darkness of forgery and swindling. Their riviting stories and adventures jump off the pages. And the items they created, that are an ever increasing attraction to stamp collectors and lovers of intrigue alike, are beautifully pictured and precisely detailed inside the book too!Don't miss your chance to add this nice item to your collection today and BE SURE to check out my eBay Store to see lots of other Pan American Exposition collectibles, stamps, covers and philatelic items, many which have just been marked down!
