Description: An early , highly sought after Sevres soft paste porcelain litron coffee cup and saucer , 4th size, with polychrome decoration of birds in flight painted in reserves surrounded by gilt ciselé flower cartouches on a lapis bleu background, with gilt dentil rims. Marks: the saucer with the interlaced LL enclosing date letter F for 1758-1759 and painter's mark (5 dots ); the cup - the interlaced LL without a date letter and painter' mark (unidentified) as well as incised workman's markings. Condition : overall in excellent order with no cracks , chips or repairs and very little signs of wear. There is a small, approximately 0.8cm area on the underside of the saucer with two tiny fleabites along the rim (please refer to the image provided ) ,this however has no visual or structural impact on the front side of the saucer and does not in any away detract from the appearance of this beautiful set.
