Description: 18th Century Primitive Heavy Apothecary Press With Rams Head, Horns. Heavy hand made folk art apothecary grinder or extractor or juicer or press. Early nail construction, oak wood, carved details, might even be 17th century, but I’m going 18th century. Heavy solid wood 12.5” by 9” by 4,5”, carved rams head with horns. Etched decorations on side. All well worn commensurate with age. I’m not entirely sure what it was used for but it’s unusual and primitive. An apothecary item for sure.
