1900 Antique Women's Shirt Vintage Clothing Work Wear Black Silk or Satin T

It is a black satiny material and would have been worn around 1900. The shoulders have beautiful piping detail, and the bottom hem is extremely interesting! It looks like there was once quite a lot of embroidery on the bottom but it was pulled out leaving a collection of holes very small in size, but in an intricate and beautiful pattern. It is a shame the condition has changed this item so much, because I am sure it was very beautiful when it was originally worn! This is a very smooth satiny material in a beautiful shade of shiny black. This piece is delicate due to condition, but with some mending I believe it could be worn. That being said, this would be best suited to study or for use in a project! MEASUREMENTS: This shirt measures approximately: Chest: 40 inches Waist: 35 inches Shoulders across the back: 15 inches Sleeves: 21.5 inches long from shoulder seam to cuff Length: 20 inches CONDITION: This shirt is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are a variety of holes in this garment, some as shown on the trim and others on the back right where the sleeve meets the bodice. A few other tiny holes visible when held up to the light. There is a white mark on the front, but I think it could come out with laundering. This textile is in poor condition. This textile is only suitable for projects that require those wonderful signs of time and use, often inherent in these magical antiques! Condition reflected in price. E shirt 1004 20220801
