Description: I have four of these uniformly bound 3/4 Leather books by Robert Louis Stevenson. They are all in VERY GOOD OR BETTER CONDITION, and are described similarly. They are privately bound in BEAUTIFUL green leather on spine and corners, with marble boards, matching marble endpapers, gilt page tops. They are very solidly bound with very light corner and edge wear, no interior marks or bookplates. This one is fully titled, Virginibus Puerisque and Other Papers. It is the stated 24th Edition (on title page), published in 1901 by Chatto and Windus. The First Edition was published by C. Kegan Paul & Co, London, in 1881. 278 clean and solidly bound pages. This volume is the first published collection to contain non-fiction essays by famed Scottish writer and novelist Robert Louis Stevenson, written between 1874-1881.
