Description: A very handsome 1904 reprint of the Globe Edition of Oliver Goldsmith's works, including The Vicar of Wakefield, The Citizen of the World, The Deserted Village, &c. Finely bound by Zaehnsdorf in green full morocco with triple gilt-ruled borders to both boards, gilt armorial device of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to centre of upper board. Spine with five raised bands, gilt lettering and detailing. All edges gilt (bright). Binding remains sound, firm and in lovely condition, sunned to brown on spine. Internally, also sound and firm. Marbled endpapers, clean and bright. Gilt ruling and detailing to turn-ins, with binder's gilt-stamped signature to lower turn-in at front. Some foxing to front and rear blanks, a little to half-title, frontis and title-page, occasional minor spotting elsewhere, otherwise clean and tidy throughout.
