Description: Here is an interesting antique map of many villages in Union County, Illinois, from the Atlas of Union County, Illinois, published by Geo. A. Ogle & Co., 1908. Size is approximately 18 inches by 30 inches. Scale 300 feet to 1 inch. Villages on this map include: Mill Creek, Mountain Glen, Mount Pleasant, wolf Lake, Balcom, Lick Creek, Renoldsville, Peru and Springville, Illinois. Many buildings are identified by the name of the property owner or the business name. (Examples: General Store A. J. Roberts & Son; Blacksmith Shop, Aw. Crowder; Blacksmith Shop, Nancy E. Verbeel; Residence and Hotel, Calvin Miller). Some properties give the number of acres owned. Condition: Some age browning, some smudges, nicely mended tears in bottom margin, separating at fold at bottom. See all scans. This map is larger than my oversized scanner, so see all scans to see all margins. This map would be an interesting addition to any Union County Illinois home or office. A lot of Union County history and genealogy is recorded on this map. Seems like an interesting map for a real estate office in Union County.
