Buffalo Bill was an American showman, soldier, and bison hunter. He was famous for his tours, which began touring the States in 1883, and Europe in 1887. Bill was the figurehead of the American Old West, his shows displaying cowboy themes and escapades, as well as tales from the American Civil War and Indian Wars.He undertook this tour with Gordon William Lillie, "Pawnee Bill", a fellow Wild West showman. CONDITION In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, smart. Small tide mark to the head of the front wrap. Some spots to the wraps, more evident to the rear wrap, only a few small marks to the front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some scattered spots.
