Description: 1911 C55 Imperial Tobacco #14 Bruce Ridpath -- SGC 7.5 A stunning, high-grade card from the C55 Imperial Tobacco Series Graded Near Mint+ 7.5 by SGC. An outstanding card that is as strong as many NM-MT examples we have seen. Qualities include solid corners, gorgeous color, and a white untoned reverse side. Only two examples have been graded higher by all the major grading companies (a PSA 8 and an SGC 8.5), both of which were encapsulated over eleven years ago. Bruce Ridpath possessed Hall of Fame talent, which was tragically cut short by an automobile accident in 1911. Ridpath scored 23 goals in 16 games (4th in the league) for the Stanley Cup Champion, Ottawa Senators that season. He also scored 7 goals in one game for the Toronto Pros in 1909. Was the first manager of the 1912 Toronto Blue Shirts – a team that would later become the Toronto Maple Leafs.
