Vincent shares with Major Hall the distinction of creating the famous Liberty Motor that is expected to prove an important factor in winning the war for Uncle Sam. Major Vincent declares that the Liberty Motor is the most powerful engine ever manufactured. Though he refused to state its horsepower in defining figures, he did go so far as to say that it is for more powerful than any other motor ever constructed or even contemplated. Contrary to common belief about the new motor it is not being used for automobiles, Major Vincent said. It is only being installed in airplanes, and in only those airplanes that are being sent abroad not in those used for practice flights in the United States.
