T. P. Cameron Wilson (1888-1918), a poet and novelist during the First World War, was best known for his poem Magpies in Picardy. This poem was published posthumously, among many of his other poems, by The Poetry Bookshop in 1919. Bookplate of Frederick James Western (1880-1951), the fifth Anglican Bishop of Tinnevelly, to the front paste down. Western joined the Cambridge Mission to Delhi in 1904 and became its Head in 1918. He was a Canon Residentiary of the Cathedral Church of the Resurrection, Lahore, from 1923 to 1929, after which he was appointed to the episcopate. CONDITION In a quarter cloth binding with the original pictorial boards. Externally smart, though boards are somewhat age toned, and there is light shelf wear to the spine. Pages are clean but age toned, with offsetting to the end papers.
