Description: In 1920, James Cox was the Democratic nominee for President. Few remember him today, but they do remember his running mate who was destined for greatness, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Cox and Roosevelt lost this election, and as a result, few ads such as this were saved. This appears to have been a newspaper insert that people could use as a poster, say in a general store or other public place. The paper is such as a newspaper, very thin. It was not made to last over 100 years, and very few did, making this a very hard to find piece. There is a crease in the center where it was folded. it is not torn in the crease. The only damage is around the edges and corners. Looks like some minor wrinkles here and there, but nothing to detract from the display. The originally white paper has become faded over the last century, but overall, this is in quite good condition considering its fragility and age. Measures 16 1/2" by 10 3/4". Look the photos over, and make me an offer!
