With the bookplate of Major Arthur William Foster to the front pastedown. Major Arthur William Foster was of Apley Park, Bridgnorth. Apley Park is an English Gothic Revival house located in the parish of Stockton near Bridgnorth, Shropshire. It was purchased by William Orme Foster from Douglas Whitmore in 1867 and remained in their family for several generations. CONDITION In a half calf binding with paper covered boards. Externally, generally smart with light rubbing to the joints and to the extremities. Fading to the spine. Bookplate to the front pastedown, Major Arthur William Foster. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
