Description: I am going to be selling off some of my late father's pocket watches that he acquired over the years. He was a certified watchmaker for over 60 years. He graduated from Bowman Technical School, Lancaster, PA in 1962 and the work was done by him. #15 PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN THIS LISTING SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE GETTING. All of the watches will show wear, dings, scratches and other characteristics of an antique pocket watch that was used for its purpose many years ago. There will generally be scratches around the indent where you open the lids. It is not recommended that you use a watch like this as an everyday watch or that you try to work on the movement unless you have watchmaking knowledge. I will be transparent and take many pictures and show any wear and blemishes, please look at them closely so you know what you are getting. This watch was serviced/cleaned in 2006 and had a new alloy mainspring put in as well as a new staff. Then it was put away in a case only to be taken out occasionally to be wound. This watch winds up, runs and keeps time. It has been tested prior to this listing.1923 Springfield Illinois USA, 17 jewel, 12 size, Serial # 4182244Champagne colored single sunk dial in very good conditionTornado Illinois Watch Case Co.
