Description: This is a scarce OCEAN TIMES newspaper (see picture) printed on board the S.S. ADRIATIC on October 16, 1924. The S.S. Adriatic was in service from 1907 through 1935, and it was the first ocean liner to have an indoor swimming pool and Victorian style Turkish baths. From 1917 through 1919, this ship transported troops during World War I. The S.S. Adriatic was scrapped in Japan in 1935. This newspaper, 8 pages in length, is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear, discoloration, and creasing from handling and storage over the past 100 years. Although it has been folded, there appears to be no handwriting in the newspaper. It would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a wonderful gift for that S.S. Adriatic enthusiast, newspaper historian, or historical memorabilia collector in your life! Postage is $5.00, and the newspaper will be mailed folded. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
