Description: This is a nice, original circulation promotion booklet for Amazing Stories. It was printed by Hugo Gernsback and offered free to new subscribers to Amazing Stories. It has an illustration by R. E. Lawlor on page 2. The wrapper is handlettered with the title of the story enclosed: "The Vanguard of Venus" and author's name. The author's name was Landell Bartlett but his last name was mispelled as Barlett on both the wrapper and page one. The publisher was Experimenter Publishing Company, 230 Fifth Avenue, New York (1928). It measures 8 13/16 inches by 6 inches and has 24 pages. There is some mild surface discoloration and some wear at edges, small corner creases with tiny chips at edges. Please study photos and Email with any question. A great addition to any collection!
