Description: SPECULATION: The Wall Street Game-Book by Augustus Poole and Walter J. Buckitt An interactive game in book form which allows the reader to speculate on stocks, facing various decisions and challenges along the course of one imaginary week. Ironically, this book was published in 1929 just prior to the Great Crash. Afterwards, apparently, nobody felt like playing games and the book was quickly forgotten. There was only one printing. This copy remains in quite good shape. The covers show some soiling and general handling, no serious issues; the binding is sound. Both free endpapers have been neatly removed, apparently in connection to playing the game. The interior is toned with age but otherwise very nice -- no markings, although the book is designed to be written in. An interesting relic of the age, very rare in any condition. Lists elsewhere for $400 and up. Hardcover, 6.25" X 7.75", 128 pages. Ships promptly & securely.
