Description: c. 1935 Typewritten & Mimeographed Pageant Manuscript for Michigan's Centennial Anniversary: "Michigan, My Michigan: A Pageant" By Maude Stewart Beagle, Michigan State Historian The manuscript is 10 pages long. It's undated, but it was probably written around 1935 (Michigan entered the union in 1836, but the official centennial celebration happened in 1935). Some of the more interesting sections reference Michigan's role in "The World War" i.e. World War I. There's also a section about Michigan's role on the Underground Railroad. The author of the manuscript is a published author, but I couldn't find any reference to this play on the internet. The pages have a blurry look and a waxy feel that's consistent with a vintage mimeographed copy. There's no writing on the pages, but the pages have a couple of bends in the corners and other cosmetic wear. Good condition overall.
