The sun is rising at her feet on the horizon. LIBERTY is engraved on the top half of the peripheral edge. IN GOD WE TRUST is behind her right leg and the date is at the bottom of the coin under her left foot. 9,162,000 coins minted in Philadelphia.REVERSE: An American Bald Eagle is rising from a mountain top perch. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA surrounds the top of the eagle. E. PLUIBUS UNUM is under the word UNITED and HALF DOLLAR appears at the bottom of the coin under the Bald Eagle.
