Designed by Ambrosio Morales, a Professor of Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines. Obverse has the busts of first Philippine President Manuel Quezon and U.S. Governor General Frank Murphy. Reverse depicts the official seal of "The Commonwealth of the Philippines". Mintage was 10,000 coins, although many of these were thrown into Manila Bay in 1942 to avoid seizure by the invading forces of Japan. (Note: this is NOT a salvage coin.) Free shipping.
