MHER MANUKI ABEGHYAN (1909-1992), a Social Realist Artist, who at his time received the highest state title in art; People's Artist of Armenia, graduated from the Art College in 1927, from then till 1930 was in Moscow-Russia studying art at the Vkhudin, and in 1931 graduated from Leningrad's Prolitariat Art Institute, participated in exhibitions since 1932.From 1937 til 1945 taught art at the Terlemezyan College, and at the Art & Theatric Institute from 1954 till 1959. M.Abeghyan had more than 20 one man shows, he is found in all major and minor publications dedicated to Soviet era Armenian Art, his art is spread all over the former Soviet Union museums.
