Out of Africa, a memoir by the Danish author Karen Blixen, was first published in 1937 and recounts the events of her life on her coffee plantation in Kenya, then called British East Africa. This work provides an insight into African colonial life in the last decades of the British Empire. CONDITION In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally sound, with shelf wear and damp-staining to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with some offsetting and spotting to the first and last few pages, and some crayon marks to the rear end paper and one of the last blank pages.
