Description: This I believe is a 1940's Piper or Cessna scratch built static model airplane. The plane has an approximately 11 1/8-inch wingspan. It appears to be made out of wood then covered with a silk or paper skin then covered in a painted coating. I was told that the plane was built by the pilot that actually flew this type of plane at one time. The model looks and displays very well but is still a 50 plus year old model, custom built from plans, then stored away for decades and may have other blemishes I may have missed, so look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
