1940’s Vintage Mexico Sterling Turquoise Gate Bracelet

Description: From the 1940’s, this sterling bracelet is a stunning statement piece. While very substantial and weighing in at 61g, this bracelet was created with large hollow links that form a very flexible bracelet. You can see in the photos how it can move. There are four genuine turquoise stones, please not that one has cracks (again refer to photos) but is still secure in its setting. The “clasp” is quite something in that it is hidden behind a link. It is cut into the silver so it can fasten itself over a silver bar creating an endless, or infinity look to the bracelet and so the clasp takes nothing away from the rest of it. There is one “pin” missing (see pics) but it has not affected the piece at all. It is still fully functional, flexible and has taken nothing away from the bracelet itself. I’ve researched this type of design for a while now and I’ve found that many from this era have at least one missing pin. I’m sure it can be easily replaced if so desired at a jeweler. (Sorry, I do not do repairs myself.) I have not cleaned or polished this bracelet at all. You will be receiving it in the same condition I did. While I do polish jewelry I sell, with a piece such as this, the patina is what can attract many collectors to it, so I leave it up to the buyer to do so. It measures in at 8” long when opened and will fit smaller when closed. Each link measures in at: 1 1/4” long, 5/16” wide and 7/16” at the highest point.
