Description: ORIGINAL OCTOBER 17, 1941 BAYLOR UNIVERSITY VERSUS VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL GAME PROGRAM - GAME PLAYED SHORTLY BEFORE PEARL HARBOR ATTACK Up for auction is a October 17, 1941 Football Game Program from the Baylor - Villanova Football Game at Shibe Field. This game was played a few short weeks before the Pearl Harbor Attack in Hawaii by Japan. This original program is in very good used condition, considering its age and use. There are small tears throughout, the pages are lightly foxed, and the binding is questionable - not loose, but getting that way. The late owner of this program was a resident of Philadelphia at the time. The cover features a color illustration of a conflicted Coed who is receiving two invitations from 2 different men to the game. Again, considering the age, this program's color has held beautifully. There are many advertisements and cartoons that provide a snapshot of life in the early 1940's before the US's entrance into World War II. I will happily provide more pictures - just ask.
