Eva Gabor in Paramount Pictures - After studying for over a year to make her film debut, Hungarian actress Eva Gabor is elevated to stardom in Paramount's "Forced Landing," in which she has the lead opposite Richard Arlen. The beautiful blonde actress was born in Budapest and was the toast of the city. At that time she wanted to be a designer. Watching a movie being filmed on the streets of Budapest, she suddenly decided to become an actress. Miss Gabor arrived in Hollywood a little over a year ago. A talent scout saw her and she was tested the following day. Even though she hardly spoke a word of English, Paramount signed her to a long-term contract. During the past year she has been studying English and drama. After viewing scenes from "Forced Landing," the studio executives announced definite plans of building Miss Gabor to stardom and slated her to appear in a co-starring role opposite William Holden in a forthcoming film. She adds at least five new English words to her vocabulary daily and makes a collection of American slang.
