It was intended to be a December 1, 1929 “100 Dinara” note from Yugoslavia but it never got issued. Along came World War II and Germany invaded Yugoslavia. This old note was overprinted with the blue and gold arms on the back and the date May 1, 1941 on the face. It was then issued in Serbia. Paul of Yugoslavia submitted to the fascist pressure and signed the “Tripartite Pact” with Germany and Italy in Vienna on 25 March 1941, hoping to still keep Yugoslavia out of the war. Senior Yugoslav military officers launched a coup d'état on March 27. Hitler then decided to attack Yugoslavia and did so on April 6, 1941. Size: 171 Millimeters or 6.73 Inches x 101 Millimeters or 3.98 Inches. Oversize holder necessary and included. "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (General Issues 1368-1960) by Albert Pick. The Note: A large, lightly circulated note. It has been folded and lightly soiled but has no edge or body tears and no pinholes.
