Description: Offered is this vintage soft cover book, a catalog for the Rosenbach Company auction that was held from Nov. 11-14, 1942 at Park-Bernet Galleries in New York City. The auction, the second in a series, featured English and American furniture, fine paintings and Georgian and Early American silver, over 700 items in all. There are dozens of black and white photos. The book is approx. 10 1/2" x 7 1/4" and contains 156 pages. It is in good condition. The soft cover has some short edge tears and wear to the spine, some creasing and small marks and has browned around the edges. I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the cover. They have yellowed and the title page and last 20 or so have some light staining. I see no writing in the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
