Description: 1942 9N ford. I bought this about 10 yrs ago for chores around the house. It's done a great job but no longer needed. I bought it off of a guy who said it was a 1948 9N but I've learned that it is somewhere between a 39-42 with the Sherman overdrive. It's been put away in my parents barn for 2 yrs but I recently got it out, drained the fuel. I took the hood off, replaced the ignition switch(so I'd have two keys), replaced the starter silinoid, put new plugs in, replaced the bolts when I put the hood back on. My neighbor is a retired tractor mechanic, he worked for a john deere dealership, he adjusted, cleaned the points. He put a new altinator and belt on a few yrs back so they have very little wear on them. I bought a 6ft blade for it from rural king and it works good. It's been converted from 6v to 12v (before I owned it). It may need a new tube for the front right Tyre, I'm still watching that. Any questions feel free to ask. Runs strong, hydrolics work as they should. No leaks. The blade alone cost $600 new. Do your research, from best I can tell google put this between $2500-$4000 and this is well above average condition. I got this bumper a few yrs back with the intention of sandblasting it and welding it to the frame somehow but never did. Not sure how it would be done but it would look great if someone did it. The existing holes are 14in apart.
