Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This little Grecian Temple was once the town market in Charleston, South Carolina. Now the United Daughters of the Confederacy keep it as a museum. Romantic old Charleston is a museum seemingly. It has 1,100 buildings remarkable enough, aesthetically, to be card indexed. The city tries hard to preserve its old structures. Ten years ago the city council passed an ordinance that no one may change the outside of a building, in the oldest part of town, without a zoning committee okay. That saved several old places.Photo measures 9 x 7.25inches. Photo is dated 3-10-1943.
