Description: This book was a gift given to Bonnie Lindley by Mrs. Madge Wilson in September 1955. Mrs. Wilson documented this in writing opposite the title page including the fact that she used to be Ruth Berolzheimer's house keeper. What a wonderful piece of WW2 and post war history this book is. See how wives and mothers planned and fed their families in the 1940s. 1943 printing. Bluish-green cover. Overall in pretty decent condition considering its age. Over 800 pages. Cover is well worn and losing its grip on the contents. The corners have some damage from 70+ years of use. Inside is much better no page separation. The total bundle of pages are still securely bound together as one unit. Handy thumb indexed feature. Initial inspection found very little writing inside, nothing to disturb the content. No dog ears or finger prints. Includes full color illustrations (color plates used courtesy of the Carnation Company, pioneers in using color illustrations for food products). See pictures for style and condition. Thanks and God bless! ..
