Description: This is an interesting World War II coin from the Philippines. 1944-S 20 centavos piece, made of 75% silver. Coin came from my Grandfather's effects, and was probably acquired during his travels in Asia with the US Army Air Corps after the war. I am not an expert in numismatics by any stretch, but I would rate this coin VG+. Detail is strong, with some wear on the high spots. The coin does have small tarnish spots. I have not cleaned it in any way except to wipe fingerprints with a soft chamois cloth. A rare and interesting coin because of the subject matter, and ready to take a place in your collection!
