Description: The Japanese Government printed currency notes of various values in 1944/45 to be used by Filipino locals during the Japanese occupation. The Japanese issued currency was not popular and was commonly referred to as “Mickey Mouse” money. I am starting with 18 of the 100 Peso notes. The photos are representative of the notes. The notes are in very good condition, but do show minor signs of circulation on the corners and edges, and most appear to have been folded at one time, but none are wrinkled or torn.
