It features Eddie Dyer, Manager of the St. Louis Cardinals on the cover. Mickey Vernon is pictured on the inside front cover and Stan Musial is pictured on the inside back cover. The 1947 season saw the New York Yankees beat the Brooklyn Dodgers in the World Series 4 games to 3. Ted Williams won the AL Triple Crown, leading the AL in Batting at .343, in Home Runs with 32 and RBI with 114. Despite winning the Triple Crown, Joe DiMaggio won the AL MVP. Bob Feller led the league with 20 Wins and 196 Strikeouts. Joe Haynes had a league best 2.92 ERA. Bob Elliott (Boston Braves) won the NL MVP. Harry Walker led the NL in Batting at .363. Ralph Kiner and Johnny Mize led the league in Home Runs with 51 and Johnny Mize led the league in RBI with 138. Ewell Blackwell led the NL with 22 Wins and 193 Strikeouts. Warren Spahn had a league best 2.33 ERA. The condition of this yearbook is G-VG. The front cover has nice color, but shows some wear. The back cover is clean.
