1950 MERCURY 34mm Cal.AS Swiss MEN WRISTWATCH 17J Triple Calendar Pointer REPAIR

Description: Selling this vintage 1950s MEN wristwatch. Brand: MERCURY DOES NOT RUN. Very Dirty movement, dried oils, needs service. Balance staff & mainspring as good, according to my watchmaker who took a quick look. The watch winds and sets. The date pointer & day are jumping at midnight (quick test). The month quickset pusher works (top bottom right) The pointer date quickset pusher also works, but missing its tiny cap. Service history is unknown. SOLD AS IS FOR PARTS OR REPAIR ______________________________________Technical details: Unmarked caliber but looks like a AS (Adolf Schild), 17 jewels, manual wind, Triple calendar. Pretty nice dial, 100% original & untouched, slight patina, all visible numbers, good condition. All stainless steel case, uncleaned, unbuffed, scratches & nicks (patina). No personal markings on the snap back. Case measures 34 mm wide without crown, 41 mm tall, 10 mm thick. Dsitance between lugs: 18 mm Crown looks original but has lots of wear. Acrylic crystal has lots of scratches that may buff out. I don't see cracks though.
