Description: In the mid 1950s Wilson Sporting Goods contracted with many NFL players to endorse their line of football equipment. The players were featured on 8 x 10 ( some slightly larger ) heavy, glossy, black and white photos with a piece of Wilson equipment predominately placed in the shot. These were used as in store window advertisement and promotional pieces in primarily sporting goods store or sporting goods depts. in larger establishments. Sometimes they were given to customers as a premium for buying a Wilson product. They are hard to find because of their limited distribution. Wilson tended to stay with a player over the course of his career which led to some pose changes and redos of individual photos.
