1950s ACL: Orange Crush RARE 7 oz. "Mae West" Soda Bottle from Evansville, ILL.

Description: A Rare bottle from Orange Crush. The LGW on the bottom, stands for "Laurens Glass Works". It was a bottle manufacturer in South Carolina whose bottles are highly collected.I did not find one on ebay either for sale or as a completed item.I can't even find one on a google search, but I did a few years back. NOTE: There was one that sold on ebay, about 2 years ago for $77.77 as a (BIN) item. I remember all of the 7s. The 6 1/2 oz. Coca-Cola bottle is pictured to show the size of the Orange Crush I am offering here.The ebay refference to "Similar Items' sold in the last 90 days is for the VERY Common 10 oz. bottle.NOTE: I am also selling the 7 oz. Clear version on ebay. It is the same size and design as the amber.This Clear bottle was made by Owens Illinois and bears the Duraglas trademark.It was made in 1957, so it is 67 years old. The 7 oz. bottles are smaller, short lived versions of the VERY Common 10 oz. bottles.If you buy both the Amber and the Clear, I will take $20 off the total and ship both for the price of one.Thanks for looking,Mike Even though I’ve been on eBay since October 1997, most of you have no idea who I am, so let me tell you a little about myself. I have bought and sold for the last 27 years, mostly bought. I just turned 73 and have been collecting, on and off, since I was 11 years old. As you can imagine, my collection has become rather large. So, with my wife’s encouragement, I’ve decided to reduce my collection to a more manageable size. Most of my collection is soda bottles and advertising. I won’t be selling much of the advertising, but I will be selling quite a few bottles, probably 300 to 400. So… If you have a “wish list“, feel free to send it to me. There’s probably something on it that I plan to sell and it could take several months before the item you’re looking for shows up here. I won’t spend a lot of time describing each bottle. I’ll let the photos do that for me. I used to be a professional photographer, so my photos are pretty good, better than most on Ebay at least. My photos will show any flaws and actually describe any serious flaws as well. There won’t be many. My collection has been culled a great deal, so those kinds of bottles really just aren’t here, with very few exceptions. I pack very well, with newspaper, Bubble wrap and even boxes inside of boxes, particularly when multiple bottles are shipped together. Also…I don’t mind questions, in fact, I like them. So please… Ask anything you want to know prior to buying and don’t be hesitant to make an offer, even if you think it is a low-ball offer. I have bottles that I really don’t know how to price, so I’ll be guessing on my prices sometimes and would appreciate your help. That’s about it. I hope we can do business together.
