1950s Arranbee R&B Littlest Angel Doll Rare Green Hair Hard Plastic Bent Knee

Description: This is the extremely scarce vintage mid- to late 1950s Arranbee R&B Littlest Angel doll with green hair (it could even be deemed a blue tint, over an ash brown hair). It’s long, rolled back Saran hair with bangs/fringe, in its original set, with two metal barrettes (no flowers). The doll measures approx. 10 1/2" tall, has a hard plastic head and body and is a bent/hinged-knee walker. It has sleep eyes in a color that is also challenging to discern — we see it as green-blue-grey. Each eye has one-piece moulded plastic upper eyelashes and painted lower eyelashes. The cheeks are rosy pink and lips are red. The upper back of the doll is marked “R&B Doll Co.” The doll is wearing the 1955 version of the Arranbee Littlest Angel Ballerina outfit in pink. It is a one-piece with a tulle tutu and tulle flutter sleeves, originally marketed as dress #063, with two metal snap fasteners in the back. No shoes. Condition: Very good vintage used condition. Hair is shiny and just a bit mussed. Face paint is very good with some faint rubs on the eyebrows and eyelashes. Hips are somewhat tight from age and storage and the walker mechanism is slow but operates. Knees bend. Barrettes are oxidized. The ballerina dress shows signs of age and use including fading, scratches, outstretched leg elastic, errant threads, a missing flower at the waist, and flecks of grime/stains (see photos). Snaps are snug. No foul odors.
