Neat item made from hard plastic and hand painted at the factory...About 2.75 to 3inches tall (60mm). Beton is generally thought to have been first producer of toy soldiers to use plastics starting Toy soldier plastic production in 1938, Most other manufacturers were still using various metals as the primary material. This figure is probably mid to early 1950's production as Beton went out of business in 1958 .and had stopped painting figures by about 1956 or so .. Made in the USA neat vintage figure. Great detail Nice shape for 70 year old figure. Paint is interesting is Tan and was factory applied . He is larger version not more commonly found 45mm figures.
