The Borscht Belt, or Yiddish Alps, is a region which was noted for its summer resorts that catered to Jewish vacationers, especially residents of New York City. The resorts, now mostly defunct, were located in the southern foothills of the Catskill Mountains in parts of Sullivan and Ulster counties The clear glass design perfectly complements the classic hotel and motel theme, making it a must-have for collectors of advertising memorabilia. The ashtray was originally created in the 1950s and has been well-preserved since then. It is an original piece from the United States and a great addition to any collection. Conditions: Excellent.
