Description: Estate FindVENETIAN STYLEKING HEADBOARDHOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR We offer an elegant vintage king size headboard in the Venetian style that brings back memories of elegant set designs as seen in the 1950s Hollywood movies.Our headboard is gesso covered wood with a heavy curved framing and painted with a bower of flowering branches. A hand carved gilt shell crowns the headboard.As seen in the photographs, the headboard shows wear as would be expected with its age. There are areas of wear to the varnish, age cracks and some chipping to the gesso. Flanking the shell are found hand carved foliage each with four leaves which show signs of restoration. It is probable that there was breakage to the foliage and the remaining pieces were evened out and gilded to match.The headboard measures 80" in width, 67 1/2" in height. The body is 3" in depth while the shell is 5" in depth. We will assist your shipper for pickup.
