Although it isn't everyone who can get a shower of champagne, Denise Darcel, vivacious French actress would be just as please if she weren't the one to enjoy (?) such a distinction. She is shown here with her hubby, Peter Crosby, during on of their visits to El Morocco, famed zebra-striped bistro, where she got the shower Saturday, AM. The donor of the shower was hubby Crosby. The story goes that hubby resented wifie's interest in something or someone other than he, picked up a goblet of the bubbly and heaved it in the lovely face of Mlle. Darcel. She, with true gallic savoir faire or sang Froid, or something, merely hopped off the rivulets and proceeded to repair her makeup, whereupon, adds the story, hubby Peter picked up the bottle and poured the rest of the champagne over her coiffure. As Mlle, Darcel hurriedly departed from the bistro, she was heard to mutter "Finis, Finis," which had nothing to do with fish. Photo measures 7.25 x 9.25inches. Photo is dated 2-28-1951.
