Description: Beautiful Danish modern large crystal glass bowl. Stunning, both in size and design! Designed by world famous glass designer Per LÜtken in 1955 at the Danish glass factory Holmegaard. It is part of the Provence bowl series. Measures 7" T with a 5" inner rolled opening x 10 1/2" W, 33" circumference. It has the inner bottom raised portion known to Lutken pieces. 2 1/4" polished base. No signature. Weight 4 lbs. 2 oz. Excellent preowned condition with only a few tiny light scratches, mostly to the base shelf wear. Flower not included. Holmegaard in Denmark, famous for the quality of its blown glass pieces. Between 1942 and 1998, the glass genius Per LÜtken would create sublime pieces for Holmegaard. Not all Holmegaard production pieces were signed. Per Lutken's pieces feature fluid forms with light-colored glass. His work was included in the tour of exhibitions of "Design in Scandinavia" in the US (1954-57), and exhibited in museums such as Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York.
