Illustrated with eight colour and eight monochrome plates of seventy-eight birds by Elizabeth M. E. Glenister, and numerous in-text illustrations and photographs by the author. Collated, complete. A wonderfully detailed and illustrated guide to identifying birds of the Malay Peninsula, Singapore, Penang, and Peninsular Thailand (Siam), with appendices including the birds of Sumatra, Borneo and Java. This guide was written by A. G. Glenister, with a foreword by the Rt. Hon. Malcolm MacDonald. CONDITION In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, cloth is in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with some spotting to the fore edge, affecting the occasional page. Dust wrapper is generally smart and bright, with a little sunning to the spine and minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine. The odd small mark to the wrap.
