As a player, Herzog was with the Washington Senators (1956–1958), Kansas City Athletics (1958–1960), Baltimore Orioles (1961–1962), and Detroit Tigers (1963). As a manager, he worked for the Texas Rangers (1973), California Angels (1974), Kansas City Royals (1975–1979), and St. Louis Cardinals (1980-1990). Herzog was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on July 25, 2010.On the Set - The 1957 Topps Baseball Card Set is a highly popular collection of trading cards that features 407 baseball players from the Major Leagues. The 1957 Topps is the first set to use the now-standard measurement for cardboard collectibles, measuring 2 ½" by 3 ½". The set also is known for introducing new elements such as the “Team Cards,” which showcase an image of the entire team and a checklist of players on the back, as well as the “League Leaders” cards, which feature the top players in various statistical categories. The front of the cards showcase a color photo of the player, often in an action pose or bust presentation, with his name and team displayed in a colored banner above or below the image. The player’s position also is indicated in the banner. The card backs feature a biographical summary, statistics, a short write-up about the player's achievements, and a cartoon baseball quiz.
