This 500 series steering box is a 14:1 ratio unit and is a direct bolt on for factory manual steering cars, and is a direct replacement for the 605 power steering boxes. The included U-joint is 3/4 - 30 x 3/4" Round Smooth. This joint is used to connect a 3/4" Round steering shaft to a 3/4" fitting with 30 splines. The fastener is designed for better attachment and upgraded safety. They use a high quality needle bearing and have a working angle of up to 38 degrees.
